About Stacey Smekofske

Stacey runs author-focused businesses Edits by Stacey and Print to Pro. She strives to successfully develop, polish, and publish author stories successfully. She started her editing business in 2018 after going back to school after raising her kids, and graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Communications; she also earned a minor in business and entrepreneurship, ultimately proving you are never too old.

Stacey has always had a passion for business, and she started Edits by Stacey with one author who took a risk on his book being edited by a nobody. She helps publish, on average, about 20-30 authors a year, many of whom have won book awards and earned their places on best-seller lists. Some of her clients include a real-estate mogul in Atlanta, Georgia, who is a closeted philanthropist, a former US Olympic gymnastics coach who healed his paralysis with sheer will, a very sweet and needlessly insecure WWE wrestler with the moniker Killer, and a former Idaho Senator who loves to write satire. She even designed the book cover for a former Naval pilot, a former Blue Angel team leader hand-picked by Tom Cruise to lead the stunt teams on the movies Maverick and Mission Impossible VII. Ask her how she did that; it is a funny story.

Stacey is passionate about teaching her authors that their voices and their perspectives are valuable. She believes her business is a perfect platform to bear testimony and instill people of all races, religions, cultures, and political ideals with Christlike love by reminding them we are all important and that what we say can help teach empathy and compassion.
